A strange little side quest
If Student Life sends you down a curiosity rabbit hole, start here. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That long chain of experiments is part of why video-game history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
