A strange little side quest
Put Stickman Rebirth next to the history of arcade history and a few unexpected connections appear. Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. And then there is this: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That long chain of experiments is part of why arcade history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
