A strange little side quest
Stickman Gun Shooter 3D has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Doom changed game design and distribution in 1993 by separating its engine from content and spreading widely through shareware. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
