A strange little side quest
One reason racing keeps producing good game ideas around Spot the Hidden Babie is that its history is full of strange turns. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Barbie Fashion Designer became a major software hit in 1996, selling more than 500,000 copies in two months and proving there was a large audience for fashion-focused computer play. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
