A strange little side quest
Sports Heads Basketball Championship belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Basketball was invented by James Naismith in 1891 at the International YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That gives Sports Heads Basketball Championship a little more company than it first appears to have.
