A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Skibidi Toilet Battle Royale is anything but tiny. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. A second detail makes the picture even better: Space Invaders arrived in 1978 and helped turn electronic games from an arcade curiosity into mainstream entertainment. That gives Skibidi Toilet Battle Royale a little more company than it first appears to have.
