Sea of Fire

A strange little side quest

Sea of Fire belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Chess changed dramatically in Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries when the queen became the board's most powerful piece. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That gives Sea of Fire a little more company than it first appears to have.
