A strange little side quest
Screen Kiss belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. The name Tetris combines a reference to four-square pieces with Pajitnov's interest in tennis. It also connects to a different milestone: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
