A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Sal's Sublime Sundae is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Tomatoes helped turn Naples' flatbreads into the food we recognize as pizza, which had become an important food for poorer Neapolitans by the 18th century. The same trail leads to another fact: By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
