A strange little side quest
Rope Man has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That is only half the story. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
