A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Rolling Mathematics for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That gives Rolling Mathematics a little more company than it first appears to have.
