A strange little side quest

Robot Whale! has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Voyager 1 entered interstellar space in 2012, and Voyager 2 followed in 2018. That is only half the story. Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. That long chain of experiments is part of why space still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
