A small trivia drop for Roadkill Revenge: Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. That long chain of experiments is part of why archery still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
