A strange little side quest
Pup World belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. It also connects to a different milestone: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Pup World feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
