A strange little side quest
Prom at the Princess College belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. That is only half the story. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. So a round of Prom at the Princess College is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer fashion and style timeline.
