A strange little side quest
Poca: A Thief's Escape belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
