A strange little side quest
One reason learning games keeps producing good game ideas around Pixel House is that its history is full of strange turns. Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. And then there is this: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That long chain of experiments is part of why learning games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
