A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Outer Space Arkanoid is anything but tiny. Our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust collapsing under gravity. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. That gives Outer Space Arkanoid a little more company than it first appears to have.
