A strange little side quest
Zoom out from My Perfect Restaurant for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Cone-shaped wafers with cream were described in print before 1900, but the ice-cream cone became a major American fairground hit at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. The same trail leads to another fact: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
