Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. A second detail makes the picture even better: The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games.
