Monkey Go Happy

A strange little side quest

Monkey Go Happy belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. And the history keeps stacking up: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. Grombi files that under: small game, surprisingly large backstory.
