Make a Pizza may feel immediate, but the ideas around food history have been evolving for a very long time. Electric refrigeration reached the American mass market in the late 1920s, changing how households stored food and even how desserts such as ice cream could be made at home. A second detail makes the picture even better: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. That long chain of experiments is part of why food history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
