The next time Majong asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. A second detail makes the picture even better: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Majong feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
