A strange little side quest
Put Kongman next to the history of combat sports and a few unexpected connections appear. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That is only half the story. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That long chain of experiments is part of why combat sports still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
