A strange little side quest
King of Bikes has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
