The fun part of looking behind Jungle Fight is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Chess changed dramatically in Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries when the queen became the board's most powerful piece. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That gives Jungle Fight a little more company than it first appears to have.
