A strange little side quest
A quick detour while Jungle Cafe waits for your next move: Cone-shaped wafers with cream were described in print before 1900, but the ice-cream cone became a major American fairground hit at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. It also connects to a different milestone: The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Jungle Cafe feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
