A strange little side quest
One reason action games keeps producing good game ideas around Hidden Weapons is that its history is full of strange turns. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. So a round of Hidden Weapons is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer action games timeline.
