A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Hex Life for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. And then there is this: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
