A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Heroes of the Dungeons: Match RPG, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. And then there is this: Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures. So a round of Heroes of the Dungeons: Match RPG is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer puzzles timeline.
