A strange little side quest
One reason fashion and style keeps producing good game ideas around Glitter Cure is that its history is full of strange turns. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
