A strange little side quest

Put Freaking Math next to the history of learning games and a few unexpected connections appear. The Oregon Trail began in 1971 when three student teachers created a computer simulation to help Minnesota schoolchildren learn American history. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
