The mechanics around Eerie have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. That is only half the story. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Eerie feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
