A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Douchebag - Beach Club is anything but tiny. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That long chain of experiments is part of why video-game history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
