A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Death Chase. Formula 1 introduced pit-lane speed limits during the 1994 season as safety concerns grew around increasingly fast cars and busier pit lanes. That is only half the story. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Death Chase feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
