A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Crowd Rush. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. It also connects to a different milestone: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That gives Crowd Rush a little more company than it first appears to have.
