The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Crazy Parking is anything but tiny. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game, decades before modern 3D racers. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre.
