Connect Four

A strange little side quest

Connect Four may feel immediate, but the ideas around arcade history have been evolving for a very long time. Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That is only half the story. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
