A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Color Link is anything but tiny. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games. So a round of Color Link is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer puzzles timeline.
