A strange little side quest
A little context makes Charge Cat more fun to place on the gaming map. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. A second detail makes the picture even better: Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Charge Cat feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
