A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Burnout Drift, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Silverstone hosted the first Formula 1 World Championship round on May 13, 1950. And then there is this: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Burnout Drift feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
