A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Bubble Shooter: Pop Levels, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
