A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Box Tap Sort is anything but tiny. A top Formula 1 tyre stop can happen in under two seconds; McLaren set a 1.80-second pit-stop record. A second detail makes the picture even better: Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. That long chain of experiments is part of why racing still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
