A strange little side quest
Bomb Jack Flash has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. A second detail makes the picture even better: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Bomb Jack Flash feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
