A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Blonde Sofia: Mask Design. Barbie Fashion Designer became a major software hit in 1996, selling more than 500,000 copies in two months and proving there was a large audience for fashion-focused computer play. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
