A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Baseball is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
What you are getting into
Baseball is the intense arcade game in which you need to hit as many homeruns as possible. You are a talented baseball player and it's your turn to step up to the mound. Be prepared to be bombarded as baseballs will be pitched at you at rapid pace! Try to hit as many baseballs as you can as you can only get three strikes before you are out! Be careful as the pitcher has a few tricks up their sleeve. Every now and then they will pitch bombs at you! Make sure you avoid hitting them otherwise it will blow you to pieces! Good luck!
