A strange little side quest
Aspiring Artist has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
