A strange little side quest
Even a quick game like Arrow Line Logic Puzzle sits on top of decades — and sometimes centuries — of ideas. A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: The first crossword puzzle book appeared in 1924 in a cautious initial printing of 3,600 copies, complete with a free pencil. That long chain of experiments is part of why archery still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
