A strange little side quest

The fun part of looking behind 2-4-8 is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. The name Tetris combines a reference to four-square pieces with Pajitnov's interest in tennis. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
